There's various different types of software for manipulating images, one of the easiest to integrate with linux will be OpenCV

Import data into software
After succesfully connecting the kinect to the computer we will need to manipulate the data, but before that we need to make sure we can read this data on to a software like MatLab or OpenCv

To make our project goals. ensuring that the kinect and raspberry pi3 can talk to each other is one of our main priorities
Build GUI and testing
In order for the client to take advantage of our project we must integrate our project into a GUI interface so its easier for them to read the data.
Documentation and Presentation
This will be our last part in the project, we must demonstrate our work and what could we improve if this becomes a good idea for clients to use in the future.
Goal:
Our goal is to design a system that can take in visual data, using a Kinect run on a Raspberry Pi, and transfer that data to a computer. Software on the computer can track people's movements and display the amount of traffic anywhere in the store. this information is color coded and displayed to the user in an easily readable format.
